Meet Yvonne!

Speakers' corner:

Meet Helen!

My name is Yvonne Ferrari, not an English sounding name as my father was born in Italy but spent the longest part of his life in London. My mother was Scottish and I married a Belgian so a European cocktail.
I came to Belgium when I was 19 years old to take up a job as Tourist guide and still today work in the summer months in tourism.

I was employed for 31 years as area Manager for the largest independent Tour Operator based in Switzerland.
I trained the new Tour Directors and organized the annual seminars which took place in many different cities and towns such as Vienna, Venice, Rome, Brussels, Ljubliana, Budapest and many more.
I love history and looking at beautiful buildings of all architectural designs and best of all, meeting people.
I live in Oostende where I am very happy, but travelling is in my blood so every year I travel overseas for 2 or 3 months to do volunteer work.

I'm looking forward to meeting you!

An Englishman in Paris…

Ongeveer een eeuw later is Sartorius & Blot back in business met Helen, an Englishwoman in Oostende...

Speakers' corner:

Meet Vicky!

Hello!

My name is Victoria (Vicki) Robey.   I was born in South Africa and have lived in Ostend since 1964.  I  met my Belgian husband on a coach tour to Russia....he was one of the drivers.  I have four (now adult) children and was a "stay at home" housewife and mother.

I love travelling, caravan holidays and reading, and we did a combination of all three for many years.   These days, however, I prefer to fly and stay in hotels!

I look forward to seeing you at Speakers' Corner.
